Monday Night Live at Petterino's

Petterino’s Monday Night Live has been a hit with singers, guests and critics alike since opening on September 17th.   This “open mic” evening of talent, hosted by Denise McGowan and Beckie Menzie, has showcased some of Chicago’s most prominent cabaret and musical theater artists and continues to provide surprises at each performance.

Special guests have included cast members from Broadway in Chicago productions including Wicked and Phantom of The Opera as well as cabaret favorites including Ron Hawking and Denise Tomasello.

The Chicago Tribune’s Howard Reich said, “More important than any individual performance, however, is the tone of the evening itself, which feels like nothing else in Chicago music.  The freewheeling spirit of the proceedings and the obvious camaraderie among the pros suggest a kind of open-to-the-public cast party …”

Singers, seasoned professional and aspiring as well as amateurs with real talent are encouraged to join the fun.  Singers are accompanied by the talented Beckie Menzie and should provide sheet music in their key.  Sign up begins each evening at 7:00 p.m.

Those who prefer to watch can enjoy the performances while sipping on some theatre inspired cocktails and nibbling lighter Petterino's favorites as well as the full dinner menu.

Monday Night Live has no admission fee, and reservations are not required but are recommended for audience members and can be made by calling Petterino's at 312-422-0150.
